Instructor: Foundations in Innovation and Technology
The First Nations Technology Council and the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology are seeking passionate educators, subject matter experts and classroom champions to teach innovative technology-driven curriculum to Indigenous participants throughout BC.
Foundations in Innovation and Technology is a 12-week program that explores digital skills in six technology fields to develop a strong base for future training and explore technology careers in:
- Office Administration
- Communications and Digital Marketing
- Network Setup and Support
- Web Development
- Software Testing
- GIS/GPS Mapping
We have Indigenized curriculum developed and waiting for you! In addition to the full support of our Skills team, Foundations instructors will be given all the necessary classroom resources before the courses begin including:
- Lesson plans
- PowerPoint presentations
- Lesson activities
- NVIT approved syllabus
- Feedback forms

NVIT and the Technology Council give high priority to Indigenous candidates. All applicants should be experienced in working with Indigenous people and be willing to travel as this program is delivered in communities across BC.
