The First Nations Technology Council is seeking Indigenous businesses, organizations, and employers to participate in our Summer 2026 Internship Program, running May through August.

This initiative is designed to help employers integrate and strengthen technology-enabled roles within their workforce while directly contributing to the growth of Indigenous participation in the technology sector.

By hiring an Technology Council intern, your organization can build internal technology capacity, receive hands-on support throughout the placement, and access funding to help offset wage costs.

What's in it for Employers?

  • Access motivated Indigenous talent with skills across a range of technology fields
  • Advance digital transformation within your organization
  • Eligible Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-led employers will receive wage support funding
  • Contribute to growing Indigenous participation in the technology sector

How to Get Started

Getting involved is simple. The First Nations Technology Council will work with you every step of the way:

  1. Connect with the Technology Council team to discuss your technology workforce needs
  2. Review and select from a pool of qualified Indigenous intern candidates
  3. Onboard your intern for the Summer 2026 term with ongoing Technology Council support

Internship slots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis — we encourage interested employers to reach out early.
