Kai Clark

Research Coordinator

About Kai

Kai is dedicated to advancing inclusive, equitable, and sustainable futures through community-driven research. He is especially passionate about Indigenous-led approaches that centre sovereignty, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

With a psychology and community planning background, Kai brings a strong interdisciplinary lens to his work. Before joining the First Nations Technology Council, he contributed to the “Climate Resilient Solutions in Rural and Remote BC” project, where he collaborated with First Nations communities to explore climate adaptation strategies. This work deepened his commitment to Indigenous research methodologies and data sovereignty—principles he continues to uphold in his role today.

Kai holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, with supporting coursework in sustainable development and community planning.

Outside of work, Kai is happiest in motion—whether snowboarding in the winter, hiking and camping in the summer, or playing volleyball, basketball, or racket sports year-round. When indoors, he enjoys listening to music or experimenting with creating his own sounds.
