About Megan

Megan is of Cree-Métis and mixed Settler heritage and grew up in Treaty 8 Territory (Northern British Columbia). She now lives and works on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples and is grateful to call these lands home. Guided by a commitment to student-centred education and learner well-being, Megan focuses on creating spaces where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University in 2020. Her professional background includes consulting with Indigenous Nations and governments across Canada on economic and data-driven projects, as well as supporting mathematics instruction in community with Indigenous learners—work that refl ects her love of learning and her belief in accessible education.

Megan is the Co-Founder and Team & Project Lead of The Courage to Persevere Project. Through this work, she leads fundraising initiatives and advocates for respectful, low-barrier mental health supports for students.

In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, and cooking good food. She is currently working toward her certifi cate in Reconciliation Studies through First Nations University of Canada.
