

Norman H. Alexis is deeply committed to advancing Nation-building through technology, emergency preparedness, and economic development. A proud member of Tl’azt’en Nation, his work focuses on building sustainable, long-term solutions that align with Indigenous values and strengthen community sovereignty.
With experience leading initiatives that integrate economic development, emergency management, and communications, Norman has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive community emergency response program and forming strategic partnerships to expand connectivity and digital infrastructure across Tl’azt’en and neighbouring communities.
He is currently pursuing advanced education in Emergency Management and Project Management, supported by training in Indigenous cultural safety, emergency management, and exercise design.
Outside of his professional life, Norman enjoys spending time with his family, learning new languages, and exploring the outdoors. His passion for land-based projects and traditional Dakelh ways of life reflects his belief in maintaining a deep connection to both culture and community.
