Our Indigenous Digital Enablement Series empowers First Nations communities in British Columbia with the knowledge and resources they need to achieve digital enablement and self-determination in the digital age.

Published bi-annually, our reports offer in-depth research findings, practical toolkits, and other valuable resources on critical topics relevant to digital enablement. Each report delves into a specific area of concern identified through collaboration with our partners and communities.

This report explores how access to radiofrequency spectrum can support First Nations in British Columbia to develop community-led internet projects. Spectrum refers to the invisible range of electromagnetic frequencies that deliver wireless connectivity to your cell phone, laptops and other technology. The report explains technical concepts and uses real-world case studies to show what is possible, while highlighting the need for flexible funding and stronger technical and administrative capacity to support long-term success.
